WHEN IS THE BEST TIME TO VISIT SIKKIM?

The best time to visit Sikkim is during the months of March to June and September to November. These periods are considered the most favorable for travel due to the pleasant weather and clear skies.

Spring (March to June): During this time, the weather in Sikkim is mild and comfortable, with temperatures ranging from 10°C to 25°C (50°F to 77°F) in most areas. The snow from winter starts to melt, leading to lush green landscapes and blooming rhododendrons, making it an excellent time for nature lovers and trekkers.

Autumn (September to November): After the monsoon season, the skies clear up, and the weather becomes cool and dry, with temperatures ranging from 5°C to 20°C (41°F to 68°F). The views of the Himalayan peaks are usually the clearest during this time, making it an ideal time for sightseeing and mountain views.

Keep in mind that Sikkim is a mountainous region, and the weather can be unpredictable at times. It's always a good idea to check the weather forecasts and plan your trip accordingly. Avoid visiting during the monsoon season (July and August) as heavy rainfall can lead to landslides and make travel difficult. Additionally, winter (December to February) can be quite cold, especially in higher altitudes, and some areas might be inaccessible due to heavy snowfall.
